The Canberra Raiders have made the tough decision to release four junior players after they were involved in a boozy brawl that saw one of them get glassed.
The Daily Telegraph reported members of the Raiders under-18 side, after playing in a win against Cronulla, were involved in an alcohol-fuelled brawl in Canberra s Civic district.
One was hit with a glass bottle.
Raiders officials were made aware of the incident and spoke to the players earlier this week. The Daily Telegraph reported three of the players lied to the club about their involvement, prompting the hammer blow.

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Dougherty County leaders discussed new vaccine pop-up sites and when the vaccine could become available to the public.
Mayor Bo Dorough said there is speculation the vaccine will be available to everyone in April or May.
“The supply by that time should be sufficient to meet the demand as the federal government recently ordered an additional 200 million doses of various vaccines,” said Dorough.

But for many Canadians, the most recognizable group was the Proud Boys , although other groups â particularly Atomwaffen Division and The Base â arguably pose a more virulent threat.
The Proud Boys, founded by Canadian writer Gavin McInnes, rose to prominence as the result of its violent engagement with counter-protesters during the so-called Unite the Right Rally in Charlottesville, Va., in August 2017 . As with right-wing extremism more generally, the group, which operates in both Canada and the United States, has continued to rise in stature.
